The topic of god comes up often in our small office of about 9 people. If I am correct, I am the only one that is on the side of the fence that doesn't believe or have faith in the existance of God. I think the rest of the office would love to claim that they had some influence of getting my poor lost soul back to christ.
I do believe that it is a great idea for people in general to have a real fear of burning in hell for eternity if you don't accept Jesus Christ in to your heart. I would like to believe that the belief of a diety is keeping some people from committing crimes.
I have 2 children that I fully support telling them that god is watching. I have never been to church with my kids. I don't think they have ever been to church outside of visiting one for a wedding. I sometimes wonder if they will be on the bashing end of ridicule as they get older and are pressured from other children that have been forced to attend church.
I'm not atheist. I just don't believe that there is some entity that is all powerful.
I chuckle when I hear of people bashing other religions or making comments about how off the wall some of the other religions' beliefs are.
So if I were asked if there was a god, I would say, that depends. Personally, I don't believe there is a GOD, but I do believe there is the thoughts or ideas of a god that is good.

Jumping on the band wagon
What is the allure of blogging? One of the off handed comments that come to mind when I think of bloggers is People that like the sound of their own voice. I guess in the sense of blogging it is more like People that have something to say and harbor some hope that what they say will actually make a difference or impact someone else. Or could it be that bloggers are those that just enjoy arguing, so they post something in hopes that someone offers a different opinion and thus fulfil the bloggers need to offer rebuttal. Peronally I don't have any pressing subjects, but I'm sure I could come up with them if I attempted the process. I'm one of those types, and I know this, that is quick to fire off the e-mail or respond to a post just because I can type fast. Also, I can now wait for the moment for someone to give me the opening to state, "Yeah, I have a blog, meh." Or better yet, "Yeah, I used to blog. It got old quick." I guess I'll run over to wikipedia and read up on blogging and get some guidance on the correct manner in which to proceed. Then maybe return and try out my new skillset.
